What should I know before check-in?

  • Hotel guests must be 21 years of age to check-in.
  • A valid credit card or cash equivalent is required at check-in for incidentals.
  • The Winter Haven Hotel does not accept personal checks.
  • Group rates quoted upon request.

Will my credit card be charged when I make my reservation?

A credit card is requested to guarantee reservation online or by telephone, and will be required at check-in. The first night's room and tax will be charged if the reservation is not cancelled, the cancellation deadline has passed, or if the guest fails to arrive. 

What is your cancellation policy?

Please notify The Winter Haven Hotel at 305 531 5571 by email, or online at least 72 hours (for reservations April 14th - December 25th) and no less than 7 days (for reservations December 26th - April 13th) prior to scheduled arrival date to make changes to or cancel reservations. Late cancellations will be subject to charges for one night's stay and applicable taxes. The credit card used to guarantee your reservation will be charged. The cancellation policy is subject to change during Special Events or Promotional Rates. For reservations made via a third party vendor such as Expedia.com, guests will need to contact the respective vendor directly to cancel or modify their reservation.

Is parking available?

Valet parking with in & out privileges is available at $38 per day (plus taxes). Please allow at least 45 minutes for retrieval of your vehicle.

How do I get around South Beach?

South Beach is a very walkable area and it's fairly easy to grab a taxi for longer distances. We recommend renting a car only if you absolutely must. Many visitors take a taxi or shuttle from the airport to Miami Beach, which is a flat fee of $35. Once here, most popular destinations are a five to ten minute walk or a just a $0.25 ride on the South Beach Local stopping conveniently two blocks west on Washington Avenue and circles South Beach continuously.

What types of services do you offer for business travelers?

Complimentary copier and fax available through the front desk. A computer is available for on-site guest use. Usage is granted to guests 18 years of age or older or those accompanied by an adult.

Can I bring my pet to the hotel?

The Winter Haven Hotel does not accept pets.

Can I smoke in the hotel?
